Chat Room Naming Rules (Allowed Characters)

What characters are allowed in chat room names?

The characters that may be used to create chat room names depends on the subscription level you have on that chat room.

You do not need a special chat room name to subscribe to any of our services like Plus, Extreme, VIP, VIP Plus, Gold, Brilliant or regular paid 'premium rooms'.

A special chat room name is purely 'decorative' in function.

Room subscription Types:

Regular chat room names

• Basic Latin alphabet and connecting characters.
• May not be offensive, threaten violence or contain a username other than your own.

Chat Rooms where the owner has a subscription that allows decorative characters in the chat room name

• Basic Latin alphabet and connecting characters.
• Decorative Room name characters.
• May not be offensive, threaten violence or contain a username other than your own.
• Requires a premium chat room subscription.

Other Rules:

• The name should be something readable that is clear and can be spoken out loud.
• May not be offensive in any way.

Detailed chat room name rules

• May not contain reserved words like Matrix, Moderator or Admin.
